Data Protection and Privacy Statement
When you create a user account in the VEG-GAP Information Platform through MEEO’s Single Sign-On Service
(MEEO-SSO), you are asked to provide Personal Data, including your name and email address. This notice sets
out how your Personal Data is handled for the purpose of granting you access to data through the VEG-GAP
Information Platform, and your rights in relation to this handling of your Personal Data.
Which Personal Data will be processed and why?
The Personal Data, which is collected and processed for the purpose of authenticating and authorising you to
retrieve and download data through the VEG-GAP Information Platform, are:
• Username (MEEO-SSO ID)
• Password (encrypted and anonymously verified)
• Email
• First Name
• Last Name
• Country of Residence
• Affiliation
The VEG-GAP Information Platform is managed by Meteorological and Environmental Earth Observation – MEEO
S.r.l. (MEEO). Your Personal Data is processed on the servers of MEEO in Ferrara (Italy), for the purpose of
authorizing you to access the data. MEEO does not process your Personal Data for any purpose other than
offering you the VEG-GAP Information Platform services requested.
We may use the personal data associated with those services in order to perform an analysis of the use of the
services and to derive use statistics of all items and services available in the VEG-GAP Information Platform in
order to improve service performance as well as user relations and experience.
MEEO does not consider your Personal Data as an asset for sale and will not sell your Personal Data to any third
parties.
For how long will my Personal Data be kept?
Your Personal Data will be stored and not automatically deleted for as long as you remain registered with an
MEEO-SSO account.

If you wish to delete your MEEO-SSO user account, you may do so at any time by submitting a request to MEEO
Data Protection Officer at the following addresses: dpo@meeo.it or MEEO, Corso Ercole I d’Este 6/A, 44121,
Ferrara, Italy. Please note that you will not be able to use the VEG-GAP Information Platform once you have
deleted your account.
Once you have requested the cancellation, all traces of your Personal Data will be erased from the MEEO´s
servers.
Your Rights
The Data Controller for the processing of your Personal Data is MEEO. MEEO is a private company established in
Ferrara on 05 July 2004. The MEEO’s headquarters are located at Corso Ercole I d’Este 6/A, 44121, Ferrara, Italy.
If you have any questions or concerns about how MEEO handles your Personal Data, you may contact MEEO’s
Data Protection Officer, who is your first point of contact for Personal Data matters. The contact details for
MEEO’s DPO are: dpo@meeo.it
Under MEEO’s Personal Data Protection and Privacy Statement, you have the following rights, which you may
exercise at any time:
• The right at any time to make a reasonable request for access to your Personal Data which is held for
the purpose of using the VEG-GAP Information Platform, provided that you demonstrate legitimate
grounds for making the request.
If you wish to make such a request, please submit it to the MEEO’s DPO.
• The right to have your Personal Data erased, rectified, completed or amended.
If you do not want your Personal Data to be processed for the purpose of enabling you to access AD VEG-GAP
Information Platform, please submit a request to the MEEO’s DPO and your Personal Data will be erased from
the system. Please note that if we carry out this change, you will no longer be able to access the VEG-GAP
Information Platform.
If you wish to rectify, complete or amend your Personal Data, you will need to submit a request to the MEEO’s
DPO and explain the modifications that you wish to be made.
